Equipment Rental Agreement (LEASE)

  • Completion and sumbission of this form, and it’s accptance by the Falklands Amateur Radio Club constitutes an agreement between the Falklands Amateur Radio Club and the person completing the form, and implies the Terms and Conditions attached should be adhered to.
  • Payment, if relevant, should be made to the Club’s Standard Chartered Bank account number 002 014359 000 or to a member of the Committee.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

  1. Club equipment may only be taken out by a Full Member and at the discretion of the Committee.
  2. Members taking the equipment out will be shown how to use it, however they must give the issuer confidence they are competent to use it.
  3. Equipment should be available at all special events, and may be operated by any licensed VP8 (including non Club members) under supervision of the event organiser.
  4. Equipment may be taken out for special events for a period of 2 weeks free of charge, which allows time for setting up and taking down.
  5. Equipment may be taken out for private use by Full Members for periods of up to 1 month, but extension of this time will be reviewed by the Committee on a case by case basis (for example, if a member’s own equipment is away for repair).
  6. Periods of private use must not clash with Club events where the equipment must be made available.
  7. Full members may take the equipment for an initial period of 2 weeks free of charge.
  8. There will be a charge of 1% of the value of equipment on hire for each day after the initial 2 week period. An additional charge of 50% of the value of equipment will be applied if the equipment is not returned by the agreed date. The committee reserves the right to reduce the charges on case by case basis depending on circumstances.
  9. A member having returned the equipment after a 2 week free period may not take the equipment again for at least 1 month to qualify for the 2 week free period a second time.
  10. A Rental Agreement must be completed before the equipment may be taken.
  11. Details of equipment will be recorded on the register held by the Secretary, which will include it’s current location. Person issuing equipment must notify the Secretary whenever the equipment is let out so the records can be kept up to date.
  12. Equipment may be returned to any Committee member who must notify the Secretary who will keep the register up to date.
  13. The Committee member receiving the returned equipment must verify it is still in working order.
  14. If the equipment is returned faulty, the cause of the damage should be investigated by asking questions about what the sequence of events were when the fault occurred, and if decided to be caused by user abuse the cost of repair will be charged to the user.
